Elaine Pawski
My work is mostly watercolor, colored pencil, digital painting, and photography. I believe the media that was used to create is not as important as the effect it has on the viewer. My digital art has the look and feel of traditional media work and is actually rendered in a very similar way. While photography often helps gather my subjects, I am very much committed to freehand drawing and letting the drips and splatters of color reflect the human touch.
I studied Art at The New Jersey City University in Jersey City, NJ, and taught art in the school system for several years. I continued studying painting at the Ridgewood Art Institute in NJ and the Sharon Arts Center in NH and in 1995 attended The Pioneer School of the Visual Arts in NH, where I was earned an Advanced Certificate in Desktop Publishing and Graphic Arts.
Currently I'm teaching Procreate at the Oregon School of Art, and conduct classes and workshops as in other groups from time to time, I am a Graphic Designer, Illustrator and Photographer, specializing in Real Estate and Architectural Photography, doing business as Sunflower Creative Media LLC. I am a member of the Society of Washington Artists, Mosaic Arts Association, and a juried member of the Southwest Washington Watercolor Society.
